The aim
That anyone can buy here: with a keyboard, with a screen reader, with the text enlarged, with the phone in one hand. We work to WCAG 2.2 level AA. We have no formal audit certifying it, and saying so is more honest than putting a badge on the page.
What is already done
- Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, and the focus ring is always visible.
- There is a skip link straight to the content.
- Text meets the minimum contrast, in day mode and night mode.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels on touch screens.
- Product photographs carry alternative text; decorative drawings are hidden from screen readers rather than read out as noise.
- If your system asks for less motion, we remove it.
- The shop works from 320 pixels wide with no sideways scrolling, and holds up at 200% zoom.
- Forms have real labels, and errors are announced at the field they belong to.
What we know is missing
- Some product descriptions are shorter than they should be; we are lengthening them by hand.
- The spinning models on the front page are decorative and do not describe the product; they are hidden from screen readers on purpose.
- The payment QR codes are images. The written detail is always beside each one, so it can be copied without scanning anything.
